Anointed and appointed by God to minister the gospel in song and word.j
Evangelist Arnetta Yancey has been singing the gospel for over 40 years. She has been ordained as an Evangelist for almost 20 years by The Ministers Outreach Crusade, Inc.
Evangelist Arnetta Yancey and her husband, Deacon McDonald Yancey formed the gospel group New Beginning in August, 2010, ten years after the release of her first CD demo project in July, 2000, My Soul Sings. From 1994 – 2010 Evangelist Yancey preached and sang the gospel through out the states. In 2010, her husband said it is time for a new beginning for you; the world needs to hear your voice. He began sharing My Soul Sings with radio stations, record labels, and marketing and distribution companies. In August 2010, the Lord began to open doors and answer prayers that encouraged them to move forward.
The original group members were Lewis and Joyce Galloway, Kourtney Kersey, Megan Stinnett, Anthony Harrison, and Torrence Terry. The desire was to inspire and to take you back to the way we use to have church.
The current group members are the backup singers Kourtney Kersey (niece) who love singing for Lord, Sarah Harrison and Mya Harrison (a mother and daughter duo), Almena Mayes (Background vocal arrangements). Up to August, 2011 the musicians were Dontay Jefferson, Anthony Harrison, and Evangelist Lottie Terry (Evangelist Yancey’s mother). The group is blessed to have assistance from some special anointed people when they are available Thaddeus Alston, Torrance Terry, Clay Terry, and Stanley Powell. Deacon McDonald Yancey is Manager and Philip Hicks is the Local Booking Manager. The song "Lord You Done Too Much" is on the top 30 indie chart for the Gospel USA Magazine and has been for the past six months. The group won first place at the 2012 Texas Gospel Excellence Awards and runner up for Best CD project of the year.
Today God continues to use Evangelist Yancey to inspire, motivate, and encourage others to hold on and trust God’s plan by sharing her testimonies, her songs of praise, and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Over the years of her ministry, she has been blessed to audition for opening act for Vickie Winans and placed in the top four finalists, sing with the anointed James Bignon, and sing on program with Melba Moore. She has been inspired by Shirley Caesar, Dorinda Clark-Cole, and the Hawkins Family to travel and share the gospel in song and word.
The Yanceys ministry has taken them to Oklahoma City, OK, where God has opened many doors. Evangelist Yancey is now a member of the Greater Oklahoma Mass Choir. She is currently working on her next project, her first nationally released solo album.
